This looks like a really nice lathe. It has the jack shaft or counter shaft below which gives you additional speed options. Looks like it also includes the handwheel on the outboard side of the headstock. It has a Delta 3/4 hp motor which gives plenty of power for turning. It’s also on the original Delta lathe stand with the heavy duty cast iron legs and wood boards above and below. I’ve owned this model. It’s a very stout heavy duty machine and was always one of my favorites, especially when it’s on the original heavy duty Delta lathe stand.

I’m a former woodshop teacher, cabinet and furniture maker, and avid tool collector. I’ve been collecting antique woodworking tools and restoring old Craftsman and Delta machines for almost forty years. I love the quality of the old Delta, Craftsman, Walker Turner, and other woodworking machinery from the 1940s through the ’70s. They just don’t make tools like that anymore and no one is going to be restoring woodworking tools purchased at big box stores fifty years from now.
