Welcome to Old Woodworking Machines.com! This work started back in 2007 when I first created the site, Old-Woodworking-Tools.net that it hosted on another platform. Because of the demands of work and family, that website has been largely neglected for the past ten years and is very dated, but now that I’m finally retired, I’m working to bring the site back to life Old Woodworking Machines. This site will focus on information and resources about old woodworking machinery.
For the past thirty years, I’ve also been collecting old woodworking hand tools. My dad also loved collecting old woodworking tools and I inherited quite a collection of his tools. I’m going to be documenting all of those tools on another new site what will be coming online soon.
I’m a former woodshop teacher, cabinet and furniture maker, and avid tool collector. I’ve been collecting antique woodworking tools and restoring old Craftsman and Delta machines for almost forty years. I love the quality of the old Delta, Craftsman, Walker Turner, and other woodworking machinery from the 1940s through the ’70s. They just don’t make tools like that anymore and no one is going to be restoring woodworking tools purchased at big box stores fifty years from now. You can see my OldWoodworkingTools.com website about hand tools.
